Simon Carnegie
Simon is an experienced security risk professional with over 30 years in the industry, specializing in security strategies, threat elimination, risk and intelligence management. He has successfully led security risk progarmmes for major projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Games, held senior director levels positions for a FTSE 100 company, and managed the security for a prominent UAE family property portfolio, including critical national infrastructure. Simon has extensive experience across sectors like ports, aviation, oil & gas and nuclear in regions including the UK, Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. Simon is the founder, and manages several successful security risk management companies with an international remit. He holds qualifications in intelligence and risk management, training, behavioural science, and humanitarian relief. A former career Royal Marine with global operational experience, Simon ended his military career as a specialist intelligence operator in the British Army’s Special Intelligence Unit. He is a member of the American Society for International Security (ASIS) and the Security Institute UK (MSyI).
Michael Kilsby
Michael is an international intelligence and security leader with deep expertise in security strategy, risk management, and crisis response. He has a proven track record supporting global organisations across government, oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, and the extractive industries. Michael has developed resilient security frameworks for high-risk market entry and complex operating environments, particularly in the Middle East and Africa. He is skilled in leveraging intelligence systems to align security operations with commercial objectives worldwide. Previously, he served as Vice President of Global Security for a Fortune 200 manufacturing company. His corporate experience also includes senior security roles with a French steel products company and a Canadian gold mining firm. Before transitioning to the private sector, Michael spent 14 years in New Zealand’s national security system, rising through analytical and operational leadership roles focused on national security and foreign intelligence. Michael studied Political Science, International Relations, and Public Policy at Victoria University of Wellington, the University of Cape Town, and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
Michael and Simon are key members of the Geopulse leadership team providing strategic direction, ensuring that the organization’s long-term goals are aligned with market opportunities and operational capabilities.
The leadership team is made up of individuals with distinguished careers in western intelligence services, military service, from the regional media, government affairs, consulting, corporate intelligence and risk management.
All have extensive experience managing political, economic, security, and social issues in the Middle East and North Africa, with notable achievements in utilising political analysis to promote decision making. The team has practical real-world experience in complex and rapidly evolving situations.
