Michael Kilsby
Michael is an international intelligence and security leader with deep expertise in security strategy, risk management, and crisis response. He has a proven track record supporting global organisations across government, oil & gas, energy, manufacturing, and the extractive industries. Michael has developed resilient security frameworks for high-risk market entry and complex operating environments, particularly in the Middle East and Africa.
He is skilled in leveraging intelligence systems to align security operations with commercial objectives worldwide. Previously, he served as Vice President of Global Security for a Fortune 200 manufacturing company. His corporate experience also includes senior security roles with a French steel products company and a Canadian gold mining firm. Before transitioning to the private sector, Michael spent 14 years in New Zealand’s national security system, rising through analytical and operational leadership roles focused on national security and foreign intelligence. Michael studied Political Science, International Relations, and Public Policy at Victoria University of Wellington, the University of Cape Town, and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
